Happy day before Easter sweet friends!
I know this Easter is a bit different than Easter's in the past, but as I was riding my bike through a nearby neighborhood, I saw that someone had written in chalk and on the path, "Easter in not cancelled."
Now...unlike everything else (it feels like)...Easter is still happening! I am well aware that there are a lot of distractions and uncertainties in our world today. That all being said, it is really easy to lose sight of what is truly important. I encourage everyone to stay positive and remember that God has got this. One blessing in all of this has definitely been technology. I think it is very awesome how many churches have been posting online resources and sermons (yay tech.)
I know in my heart that the Coronavirus, just like everything else, is all apart of the greater plan, his plan. Please, please, please, if you have anything pressing on your heart at the moment, or if you simply need someone to talk to, please reach out!
"And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus"
Luke 24:2-3
I love this verse for many reasons. For starters, I love how straight forward it is. For many non-believers, this might come across as insignificant. However, for me I see the true meaning of Easter. This event follows the crucifiction on what is referred to as Good Friday. On the third day an angel came and removed the stone from the cave, and Jesus was free. He was resurrected. Jesus died on the cross, so that all of our sins could be forgiven. That means that he loved us so much, that he made the greatest sacrifice that one could ever make.
I hope you were able to read this and reflect on these events. Lastly, I hope that you have an amazing Easter (+stay safe). I pray that you are able to find blessings in these next few weeks.I have come to find that these blessing come when you are not even looking...
as always,
xoxo,
