Oh my goodness...guys thank you so much for the outpour of love and support on my most recent blog. It seriously means the world to me<3
Now, I know what you are thinking posting twice in one week + maybe more (well get your reading glasses on folks!) Because currently I am stuck at home, but I am totally not jealous of those who are at the beach right now! (I still don't know how to insert emojis on this, but imagine a *smirking emoji* right here.)
I promise to make this quick...
Ok...so there is no easy way to start this, but I have a question for you. To be honest I don't even know the answer myself.
How do you live in Faith?
Faith, according to the dictionary means "strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof." For me, I have always had a hard time with Faith. I am the type of person who needs evidence and verification before I can fully believe something. Faith hasn't been any different. However, I find my reassurance and faith in good acts. I believe there is a God because of the kindness of others.
every good and every perfect gift is from above
james 1:17
Ok so back to the essential question we started out with, "How do you live in Faith?." Living in faith does not just mean attending church on Easter or Christmas. It doesn't even mean attending church every Sunday. There is a BIG difference between being a Christian and being a "Christian."
I believe that living a Christian Lifestyle begins with small acts. It means serving others who are not as fortunate, spreading the gospel, and showing forgiveness no matter the circumstance. You don't have to travel across the world in order to be a good Christian. Everything you need in order to be a good Christian is already right in front of you!!!
Now, I have a confession to make. I fail to be a good Christian on the daily. I find myself going to church and then coming back and reinforcing the same bad behaviors as before I went.
However, I crave to change. Yes, (news flash) I sin, and so does everybody else on Earth. I am trying, and I know it is hard.
jesus never said it would be easy, but he said it will be worth it
matthew 7:13-14
Therefore, this week I encourage you to live out your faith. It could be anything as simple as helping your mom make dinner or offering to take out the garbage for your neighbors.
LOVE BIG FRIENDS
